GuideStar Korea (GSK) held a meeting at their office in Seoul on the 27th October 2009 with Korean officials who expressed an interest in the GuideStar System. Buzz Schmidt, who was in Korea for the OECD Forum, gave a presentation on GuideStar at the meeting. Discussions were held on the ways in which GSK could effectively acquire nonprofits’ data and structure the GuideStar System. All participants agreed that closer cooperation with the National Tax Service is very important and that GSK should focus on gathering numerical information from governments, and narrative information from each NPO.
