GuideStar International, Imagine Canada and CanadaHelps are collaborating for the development a Canadian GuideStar. The data is to come from two sources. Basic information for all charities will come from data that is publicly available through the Registered Charity Information Returns that charities are required to file each year with the Canada Revenue Agency. Supplementary information is planned to be provided by charities voluntarily through the website.
