News update
An agreement between the Israeli Ministry of Justice, JDC Israel and Yad Hanadiv (the Rothschild Foundation) on the creation of GuideStar site was signed on 18 March 2009, following two years of negotiations. According to the agreement, the Israeli Registrar of Non-profit Organisations of the Ministry of Justice (responsible for regulating non-profits) will support the project with the data reported to it and fund half the project for 5 years, while the other half will be funded by Yad Hanadiv. JDC, an institution with a distinguished history of cooperation with both Government and Third Sector Organisations, will be responsible for operating the project. Status
The need for CSO transparency is accute in Israel and the feasibility of the project is being tested. The working focus is developing a data acquisition strategy while the technology of the GuideStar Platform is being tested.
Project Vision
The project will allow full transparency to civil society organisations in Israel nationally and globally as the project will contribute to the GuideStar International platform.

- Second part of 2008: Conclude Technical Feasibility
